Customer Service Jobs
Server – Full time
We provide full dining and bar service to our customers. Servers are expected to learn our menu, get to know our regular customers, learn the restaurant and bar set up, learn salad preparations, and to be flexible and efficient. We currently have one day position open. The schedule includes at least one weekend day, at least one breakfast shift and at least one day that may swing into the evening.
Starting in April, just before our beer garden opens, we will be hiring a number of servers for day and night schedules. These jobs are seasonal, but opportunities to join the permanent staff may occur.
Cooking, Food Preparation and Kitchen work
Night Saute cook – Full time
The Black Forest Inn runs a small, high volume kitchen. Our meals are all made from scratch, and many are made to order. Additionally, a cook must understand cooking meats of many kinds and cooking with gravies. We do most of our own preparation of meat, including butchering, weighing and tenderizing. The waitstaff orders their food through a touch screen register that prints orders for the kitchen. The menu is large and specialized; our menu is primarily traditional German and European food. This is a good job for someone who is thorough and clean, likes fast paced work and who would like to learn more about handmade food.
Benefits
Benefits for full time employees include health insurance (after six months), direct deposit, vacation pay (annually, after the first year), and a profit sharing program (after two qualifying years).
